Steal the Shampoo!!

When you are staying in a hotel and go to checkout, always make sure you steal the shampoo!  This may sound like I am suggesting something of "shady" behavior, but I assure you, the reasoning is for a good cause, as you will see.

When you use the little bottle of shampoo, whatever is left is thrown away by house keeping the next day when the room is cleaned.  If you are only staying one night, this is a great waste of perfectly good shampoo.

Instead, take the shampoo with you.  If you are staying multiple nights, hide the shampoo in your suitcase so that they will leave a new bottle every time the room is cleaned.  Also, do the same with the lotion and conditioner bottles.

Now, why should you hoard away these little bottles?  The answer is simple, charity.

In my town there is a battered women's shelter that is always looking for any and all donations.  There are also several homeless shelters doing the same, and a home for children.  Another cause is mission trips.  My church always takes large bags of these little bottles with them when traveling on a mission trip to hand out to people; some of which have never used lotion before in their lives or can't afford shampoo on a regular basis.
Now my direction to take a few ounces of shampoo doesn't sound so bad does it?

What happens to these little bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion are up to you.  You decide whether the end up in a dumpster, or in the hands of a truly needy organization.  So, in the end, make sure you steal the shampoo!
